INTERPOL (International Criminal Police Organization) has made seminal contribution towards international police cooperation and furthering the cause of global security since its inception in 1923 .CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) is the National Central Bureau for INTERPOL in India. SIS organised a quiz for classes VI- XII on 20th October'2022 , with a view to spread awareness among students regarding India's contribution to INTERPOL and role of the organization. SIS proudly hosted Inter-Zonal Competition between Zone 21 and Zone 22 on 12th September 2022 in SAManvay Hall. The event started with the lighting of lamp by Hon'ble School Principal, Ms. Karuna Verma, Ms. Roshni Gulati, SPE Zone 21, Dr. Rajkumar, Cultural Secretary, Zone 21, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Cultural Coordinator, Zone 21 and four esteemed judges. The competition then began with great zest and excitement. There were seven different events Hindi Declamation, Hindi Extempore, Hindi Debate, Punjabi Poetry, Urdu Poetry, Hindi Poetry and Sanskrit Poetry. Students set the stage on fire with their thrilling performance. The event concluded on a sweet note.

The competition then moved forward with great zest and excitement. The participants dressed in colourful costumes, twirled around and set the stage on fire with their thrilling performance. Everyone applauded the efforts of the young dancers. The event concluded on a sweet note.

SIS celebrated teachers' day on 5th Sept, 2022 in a grandiose manner to honor Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's legacy and contribution to the country. In the morning, Class XII students shouldered the responsibilities of the teachers for the day and got hands down experience in teaching. The young scholars dressed up smartly and amazed everyone with their excellent teaching skills. They prepared topics in advance and conducted the classes with confidence. It was indeed a memorable experience for the students of classes III-XI and also for these ‘young teachers’ of class XII. Then, a grand get together was organized at Radisson Blu, Gurugram, by Hon'ble School Chairman, Mr. Praveen Kumar and Respected School Principal, Ms.Karuna Verma, for the teachers. Teachers had a wonderful time there and they enjoyed their day with melodious songs, dance performances, games and a lavish luncheon followed by Best Teacher Awards to all five educators who gave perfect score in the CBSE Board Exams 21-22. The day ended with an energizing and inspiring speech by the school principal, Ms. Karuna Verma.

“Hold your head high, let the world know you are Proud to be an Indian.” VANDE MATARAM As a part of #AzaadikaAmritMahotsav, young Patriots from PS to class 2 celebrated the “Independence Day”. Samites dressed in Tricolour attire participated in a rally wearing Tricolour caps while holding National Flag in their hands. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for all of us to live together.

SIS honored its meritorious students with a Medal Distribution Ceremony on 05.08.2022 i.e. on Friday. School Principal, Ms. Karuna Verma presented the Overall Olympiad toppers and Class toppers of SOF and Silver Zone Olympiad winners with the medals. Voucher certificates were also handed over to Olympiad toppers in both in SOF and SZ .

Workshop on 'Artificial Intelligence' for Classes XI & XII on 4th Aug 22. Celebrating 75th Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, SIS conducted a workshop on ‘Artificial Intelligence’ in Samanvay Hall for classes XI and XII on 4th August, 2022. This theme was chosen to inspire the young minds to be aware about the use of 'AI Technology'. The guest speaker for the workshop was Mr. Varun Duggal. He is a B-Tech from IIT-Banaras and currently pursuing his P.hD in AI with research on Quantum Computers. He is adept at teaching subjects like Data Analytics, Statistics, AI, PM, E-Commerce, MIS and OR. He has an experience of 30 years in this field. Many fun games and interactive activities were conducted during the workshop for the students. It ended with a Q&A session.

Workshop on Anger Management for Classes IX & X. Celebrating 75th Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, SIS conducted a workshop on ‘Anger Management’ in Samanvay Hall for classes IX and X on 1st August 2022. This theme was chosen to imbibe the values of harmony and brotherhood among the young learners of the nation. The guest speaker for the workshop was Ms. Sunita Malkani. She has an experience of 20 years as a senior educator and administrator in Naval Public School, New Delhi. She is also a content developer, proofreader and copyeditor for many publishers and organisations. Many activities were conducted during the workshop for the students. It ended on a positive note.

A Special assembly was conducted by Class XB on 07th of July 2022. The theme of the assembly was- "An Optimist sees an opportunity in every Difficulty". Students participated very enthusiastically. Ivaan Nidhi commanded the assembly. News Reading was done by Dhanishtha Saikia. Thought of the day was shared by Harsh Yadav. Ekansh gave a speech on the theme. The assembly concluded with the students pledging to utilize every opportunity to the maximum.

How beautiful is the rain! After the dust and the heat, In the broad and fiery street, In the narrow lane, How beautiful is the rain! ENJOY THE LOVE OF NATURE. The topic of today's assembly was 'Monsoon Mania'. The assembly was conducted by the students of class VG . Little children cheerfully explained the importance of monsoon season that how it enhances scenic beauty of nature , how it's an important resource to the farmer and how it improves air quality of atmosphere. This was followed by students taking pledge and reciting national anthem.

The session 2022-23 resumed with the aforementioned motivational prayer by our Respected Principal ma'am, Ms. Karuna Verma. She addressed the children welcomed everyone back after their joyful vacations . She indulged in an interactive session amongst the students and made them aware about the importance of today's date, which is death anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and Independence Day of America. The topic of today's assembly was "Time spent amongst trees is never time wasted" . The assembly intrigued curiosity among the students about the need to protect trees and environment. The assembly concluded with the students taking a pledge and reciting national anthem.

"Teaching is a very noble profession that shapes the character, caliber, and future of an individual." : Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam An informative and highly interactive workshop on 'NEP 2020' was conducted in Samanvay Hall on 2nd July 2022 for all the teachers of the school. Dr. Richa Verma, School Principal, Vidya Jain Public School, was the guest speaker for the session. She's a strategic thinker and subject matter expert of Computer Science in CBSE and a winner of Prestigious 2021 "State Teacher Award" by NCT Delhi, along with several other accolades to her name till date. The event started with Respected School Principal, Ms. Karuna Verma addressing the gathering of teachers and welcoming the guest speaker. She then handed over the charge to Dr. Richa Verma. At this NEP 2020 Workshop, information about Activity Based Teaching Learning Exercises, Holistic Development of Students, Aesthetic Teaching, and how to make effective lesson plans was dispersed to the teachers present there. The workshop ended with some peer group based and individual activities. Overall, It was a wonderful session.

SIS organised a "Nukkad Natak", a social awareness programme on the topic "International Day of Yoga ". The Nukkad Natak was performed by Students of Classes VII and VIII in the park to raise awareness about importance of Yoga.

SIS participated in the National Save Soil Event: "Concious Planet- The way forward", held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, under the gracious presence of Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Sh. Narendra Modi and Sadhguru, the founder of Isha Foundation and the initiator of 'Save Soil Movement', on 05th of June 2022. An informative Extramarks Connect Session on Career Counseling was organized in Samanvay Hall on 28th May 2022 for classes IX - XII. Mr. Kartikey Sharma, Career Counseling Expert, Extramarks, was the guest speaker for the session. The event started with a warm welcome of the guest speaker with a planter, as a token of appreciation. In the session, information about different career options, choices of colleges and courses was dispersed among the students and parents. The workshop ended with some refreshment for all the participants. Overall, It was a wonderful session

SAM International School, Dwarka organised a Covid vaccination camp for its students (age between 12-15 years) in collaboration with the Delhi Government on 25th May, 2022. As many as 150 students, accompanied by their parents/guardians, received doses of CORBEVAX under the supervision of school management and a UPHC team deployed at the campsite to look after the vaccination drive in this camp. The Vaccination drive was a great success.

In this digital Era,we are all concerned about our safety from cyber crimes. Taking it into cognizance, an informative Workshop on Cyber Security was conducted in Samanvay Hall on 25th May 2022 for classes VI - VIII, by Extramarks. Mr. Anuj Arora was the guest speaker for the session. He's a strategic thinker and subject matter expert of Cyber Security in the industry and currently working as a Senior Manager with EY in the Cybersecurity Practice . The event started with Respected School Principal, Ms. Karuna Verma addressing the gathering of parents and students. She then welcomed the guest speaker with a planter, as a token of appreciation. At this Extramarks Connect session, information about Cyber Security, Cyber Crimes and how to deal with Cyber Bullying was dispersed to the people present there. The workshop ended with some refreshment for all the participants. Overall, It was a wonderful session.

SIS conducted an array of activities on the theme " Implementation of IEC plan on Plastic Waste Management and Single Use Plastic" on 20th May 2022. Students of classes III-XII participated enthusiastically in various activities. All the students took a pledge to stop using single use plastics and save environment from its harmful effects. The students were then shown a short video clip on the "Journey of Plastic from a lab to every single corner of the world". Debates and discussions were held during the English class and students also drew posters and wrote slogans in their Art and Craft period. It was a wonderful experience for both the students and teachers, as they explored different ways to curtail plastic use and create awareness on this issue.

The program was graced by the presence of Special Guest of Honour, Professor Dhananjay V Gadre- Associate Professor at the Netaji Subhas University of Technology in the Division of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Prof. Dhananjay demonstrated number of tinker projects that were aimed at day-to-day needs and were low-cost and environment friendly eg. electronic lighting lamp used for inaugurations, Battery-less T.V. Remote, light painting, mood lights etc. By asking numerous questions about the occasion ,he was able to generate scientific curiosity among students of Class X and XII. The teachers and students from III - XII participated in the event by making astonishing working models . The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Respected Principal Ma'am ,Ms. Karuna Verma .

A special assembly and a short programme was conducted by class VII E students on 6th May 2022 i.e. on Friday, to celebrate ‘161st Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore’. Students pasted beautiful quotes and poems on the assembly board.

A special assembly was conducted by class VII C students on 29th April 2022 i.e. on Friday, to celebrate ‘International Labour Day’. Medals and Certificates were given to the budding sports persons by School Principal, Ms. Karuna Verma.

Delhi Police’s Special Police Unit for Women and Children (SPUWAC) has been conducting a Self-Defense Training Program inside the school premises since 19.04.2022. It is a 15 days' workshop for the girls of classes IX to XII.

The students of Class 2 A conducted an assembly on ‘Road Safety’. The day started with exercises and a prayer.

A special assembly was conducted by class VII A students on 22 April 2022 i.e. on Friday, to celebrate "World Earth Day".

A workshop was conducted by "Skills and You " for the teachers of Pre-Primary, Classes I & II. The workshop threw light on the 4E approach and included brainstorming, creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.

“If you prepare the child for first five years, you prepare him for the next seventy five years” Keeping the above words in mind, SAM International School organised an orientation session for the parents of Pre Primary in two slots on 31st March 2022. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp and welcoming of the parents. The occasion was graced by the exuberant presence of the School Principal Ms Karuna Verma and Ms Charu Bajaj, founder and CEO of ‘ Skill and You’. Ms Bajaj who had conceptualised CURIO programme, apprised the parents about the enrichment activities, enquiry based learning and novel pedagogies that is part of the school curriculum to make the students future ready. The School Principal, in her address spoke of the school’s vision and mission, outstanding board results of 2021-22 and the accomplishment of the scholars in various competitions. Parents were also familiarised with teaching methodologies and scheme of assessment . The interactive and informative session won the appreciation of all the parents. The programme culminated with the refreshment being served to all the invaluable guests.

The Pre-Primary and the Primary wing of SIS organised their Graduation Day ceremony on 30th March.

The festival of Spring , ‘ Basant Panchami’ was celebrated by Sam fraternity. The school Chairman and the Principal sought the blessings of the Giddess Saraswati by offering flowers and lighting the lamp. It was followed by divine rendition of Saraswati Vandana and distribution of Prasad to everyone.

Moving ahead this new year with the motto of "Serving Others and Touching Lives", the school Chairman Mr. Parveen Kumar along with his Son and School Principal Ms. Karuna Verma, celebrated the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti with the school support staff, following all Covid related protocols and presented them with a "Token of Appreciation". We take this opportunity to salute their dedication and commitment towards the institution.
